Man I love my 25-2! I almost feel bad for the pawn shop I got it from- the guy said it was a "bubba job, cuz everybody knows the M25's are s'posed to shoot the Long Colt!".

The photo doesn't show up on my computer, so pardon me for asking what accessories came with yours- wood box? screw driver? papers?

And if ya don't mind my intrusiveness- what did you pay for it?

Congrats on the new Smith. The model 25 is one of the most accurate revolvers that you will find and very enjoyable to shoot.

All I got was a rubber Hogue grip and a half dozen moon clips.

I'm north of $600 and south of $700.

With the box and goodies it would've brought all the money.

I did a cash/trade deal for it.

I have one from 1980 that still has a 6.5" barrel. All models went to 6" in 1978 but of course they used up remaining barrels and the 25 was a slow seller so that took a couple years. If from 1982 yours must be one of the last 25-2s produced.

They usually are good shooters.

I have one made in 1972 with the 6.5" barrel and I still use it in Bullseye matches. Very accurate revolvers, finely finished and possessing superb trigger pulls. You'll be glad you got it for sure.

Great catch. Moonclips rock. Great way to shoot even more ammo. And NO chasing cases.
My gun came with about a 100 clips and a sweet Moon Clip Tool (http://www.mooncliptool.com/).

Had one 25-2. Sold it to a friend who eventually talked me out of it. No regrets. 625-2 5" barrel replaced it. Same performance, slickest trigger I have ever used.

Very nice! I've been looking for a small frame snubnose revolver in .45ACP for a long time. I've never been much for the longer barrels.

There are no small frame .45 revolvers.

The size of the holes precludes using a small frame for them.

S&W's smallest .45 is built on the large N-Frame.

.44 Spl is it for the medium L-Frame.

.38/.357 is it for the small J-Frame.

Thanks for the info, RC and Ghitch. I still want one :D it'd make a great backup for my 1911.

With the box and goodies it would've brought all the money.

I bought one about the same time you got that one. It had a plain blue box, papers, tools, clips...all the stuff that comes with them. You're right. They wanted top dollar for it.

I've fired a few rounds but haven't had a chance to seriouslsy shoot it. Looking forward to it.
