I plan to get a Mosin-Nagant 91/30 here soon, and both of these sites have them w/ accessories and are both $89, which in yalls opinion would be the best to order from?

I've ordered from JG a few times with no issues. I have never heard of issues with AIM though.

They are both great. Order from either without reservation.

Never had a problem with either one.

When it comes to used surplus firearms, I typically prefer to order from someone that has photos of the actual firearm that I will receive rather than a stock representative photo. It's been frustrating in the past to see a decent condition stock photo and then pull out a nasty beaver chewed example from the shipping carton.

I'd rather pay a little more for a verifiable known condition rifle that roll the dice on a stock photo listing.

I've ordered from AIM numberous times and have been very pleased. They are a class operation.

I ordered from J&G before on some nasty Turk M38 Mausers years ago. OK purchase experience with so-so quality on the rifles.

I'm a short drive from AIM, so they always get my business.

They are first class.

J&G used to be THE place to get surplus model 10s in really nice condition. I think the ones they had were from Brinks truck trade-ins. I couldn't tell yo about their rifles. IMHO it's usually worththe extra couple dollars to get one that's handpicked when possible.

I've ordered from both with no problems, though it has been many years since I dealt with J&G.

Don't know about J&G, but I've ordered from AIM Surplus several times, and have bought ammo from their store in Ohio. Always top quality, good prices.

I've only ordered from AIM, and was very pleased with the service and the quality of the firearm I received. No experience with J&G, but I do know that AIM lets you know the shipping cost before you order. Donno if J&G does the same.

My LGS had them in stock for 99 bucks. Buy the time you pay any shipping and a ffl fee it may pay to have your LGS just order what you want.

Another big plus for both companies.

I've bought from J&G a couple of times. I received a CZ82 from them that had to be returned because the slide was stuck. There was only minimal hassle and J&G paid both ways for the return and replacement shipping. I was slightly disappointed that they shipped a gun without even racking the slide to test the function but they handled it well. Sometimes how you get treated when there's a problem tells you more about a company than when everything goes perfect. J&G stood behind their sale and made it good.

I've bought a few rifles from J&G and had only good experiences.

I just moved and the ATF is taking forever to send me my new FFL. Not being able to snag some of the recent deals is killing me.

Both great operations, order with confidence from either, I'd go with whoever has the cheapest shipping which will likely depend on where you live.

but, that's only 20-40 minutes depending on where you live. It's a little bit further for the OP. ;-)

On that note though, I've also had decent experience from SOG as well.

Been dealing with Bryan at AIM for some time now, everything that I've bought has actually turned out to be better than the description. I've never bought from J&G but they have a stellar reputation across the 15 firearms forums that I belong to.

Both have been good to me. Mostly J&G C&R stuff here.

I bought a 91/30 from J&G Sales. I received it as described and in working condition. I did not use the hand-pick feature. My 91/30 is a 1929 Hex manufactured by Izhevsk.

I've had good experience with both.
I always pay for "Hand pick" if available, it's well worth it.
