Dorkfish88 April 19, 2012, 10:02 AM One of them is steel, and on the rim, it says "603" on top, and the caliber is listed on the bottom, and it has that red paint around the primer.
The other, im not sure what metal it is, but it's a dark greenish brown and has some sort of laquer on it. The markings on the rim are a "64" on top and "uxq" on the bottom.

SDC April 19, 2012, 10:20 AM The "uxq" code is actually "bxn", from Czechoslovakia, but I don't recognize the other one; have you got a picture? The red primer seal is one of the markers the Russians used for their ShKAS MG ammo, but I can't find a 603, 309, or any other factory code that might be mistaken for one of these.
Dorkfish88 April 19, 2012, 10:33 AM actually, that steel one with the alleged "603" on it, upon further examination, I think it's something else. and it isn't that copper colored steel, its silver, i think it may be current production, but i don't know. and i'll post a pic as soon as i can find a camera.
Dorkfish88 April 19, 2012, 04:20 PM heres the best pic of it i was able to get.
Cosmoline April 19, 2012, 04:33 PM I can't find it here. But it looks vaguely Chinese.

Dorkfish88 April 19, 2012, 04:44 PM the case itself looks like some of the hungarian i saw, but the markings didn't match up
SDC April 19, 2012, 05:51 PM Got it; it's Russian, with the Cyrillic letters "BPZ" (Barnaul Patronen Zavod/Barnaul Cartridge Factory). This will be modern-manufactured ammo.
Dorkfish88 April 19, 2012, 06:24 PM i figured it was current since it actually had the caliber stamped in there...
303tom April 20, 2012, 10:35 PM Here is where you can find it..............
