Options for spare ammo

I don't feel comfortable with just one speedloader. Maybe its paranoia....but I guess there are times where I'd rather be able to get to more ammo.
How do you carry more ammo? I'm considering speed strips.
By the way, my primary carry guns are a .38+p and a .357, so I'd just carry .38+p and be good for both.....

how many rounds were you thinking of carrying?
when i'm carrying my 642, it is always accompanied by at least one speed strip...usually in the watch pocket of my jeans.
depending on what i'm wearing, i'll drop a speedloader into my righthand jacket pocket, a speedstrip in an inside pocket or watch pocket...i'm figuring that should be enough rounds. it is easier to add strips than loaders

It's not paranoia. I have to carry two reloads. In cold months when I carry my model 642 in my pocket holster, I also have two speedloaders in a jacket pocket. For summer carry, I will probably use two speedstrips but am not sure how/where to carry them. I might try one of the Dillon speed strip horizontal pouches.
For my model 65LS IWB carry I have two speedloaders in a jacket pocket. For summer, I plan on trying a Del Fatti speedloader carrier that puts three rounds on either side of the belt to make it more concealable. In addition, I will carry an extra speedstrip. When carrying the 65LS, I use 38 +P in the speedloader b/c it is much easier to get into the gun with the Hogue bantam grips - like it takes 5 seconds of giggling to get .357 rounds out of the speedloader and into the cylinder b/c they have to go in at an angle. I carry .357 ammo in the speedstrips.
In any case, if you can't carry an extra speedloader, the speedstrips are great and much better than loose rounds.
