Meopta makes quality equipment. They have traditionally been a military oriented company (general dynamics being their largest customer) with a small sport optics division. Now that a lot of that military money is going away much as it did after the Gulf War, I think you will see them now concentrate more on the consumer market to make up for the loss of income.
They have two facilities, one in the CZ where their 30mm optics along with some binos are made, and a facility here in the US (New York) where they have a manufacturing facility that produces their 1" scopes, produces aviation and military goods, as well as assembles and repairs Zeiss conquest rifle scopes (shhhh don't tell anyone).
They use German glass so the clarity, color, resolution, and contrast are everything you would expect with much less cost (because of labor cost and less import tax coming from the CZ).
The scope you are looking at would be an excellent purchase.
If you are looking for Meopta products check out SportOptics (http://www.sportoptics.com/meopta-rifle-scopes.aspx).

That's awesome, I think you will really enjoy it. BTW nice choice on that 6.5. I think that is an awesome hunting caliber. I've been thinking of switching to it myself.
