A few times now, I've heard of the fabled Medusa revolver that will shoot anything in the 9mm/ .38/ .357 etc. family.

Are these still made? What are some websites that give good info? What's the pricing on them? Reliability? Availibility? And the one question that's been bugging me for a while now...

Why hasn't this technology been applied to other firearms?

All info/ input welcome...

You can read an interesting article about the Medusa on Popular Mechanics web site. (http://popularmechanics.com/outdoors/firearms/1997/11/Revolving_Bores/index.phtml)

This web site (http://www.cadco.com/firearms/pri.htm) appears to claim that you can still order them.

Looks like nothing has been updated at the Cadco site since 2001.

The Colt Survivor used the Medusa technology under license in 1998 - 1999. I don't know for sure that the gun was ever sold though, but you might want to look for it as well.

As far as I know, and I could be wrong, the Medusa is not currently in production.
