Do my results sound right?
I loaded 7 grains of unique under a 240 grain lead swc. Velocity was 840fps.
I loaded 7 grains of Unique under a 360 grain lead swc. Velocity was 935fps.
I would think the heavier bullet would go slower not faster?

A heavier lead bullet sitting deeper in the case creating more pressure due to weight and decreased case capacity could very well go faster. But yea, it looks funny.

I fired it in a taurus 44 mag with a 4in barrel. The 7 grains of unique with a 360 grain bullet made the case stick a little. To hot for special brass. I loaded a 360 gr bullet with 5 grains of unique and got 625fps from a 2.5 inch charter bulldog.

I loaded 7 grains of Unique under a 360 grain lead swc.It sounds like you need to get yourself a load manual before you blow up your .44 Special.
Or .44 Mag?
Or whatever it is.

7.2 Unique with a 310 lead bullet is a MAX load.
In a .44 Magnum case!!!

7.0/360 in a .44 Spl case is centerfire rifle pressure + plus I betcha.
