Hello folks!
I have a Taurus PT1911. I am looking for a decent IWB hoslter. What is your favorite and most comfortable IWB hoster?
Thanks for sharing.

There are hundreds of IWB styles, but I prefer the VM 2 from Milt Sparks, style. I don't own one from him, but a similar style from a different maker. I like the wide wings, to keep it close to the body, and the easy on/off loops are great.

My favorite by far is this one that member Joel made for me early in his holster-making career:

VERY tuckable. Only the straps show when I've got a thin dress shirt tucked in around the gun.

I'm pretty thin, so to really to conceal I went with the smallest holster and made out of kydex for the weight. THS Holsters out of Mesa, AZ have made my holsters under one name or another as they have gone through some changes in ownership, but the same guy that made mine 7 years ago still works there. They have improved their designs very nicely. You have the option for a sweat guard, which i need in the Summer.

My most comfortable IWB holster is a Don Hume #10 holster.
Following that, is my Galco NS2 in horsehide. They still make them, but the model I have is discontinued.
I'm also a big fan of deadeyeluke.com holsters. They're light weight, don't hold water, and shaped well for comfort as well as being very inexpensive compared to leather goods.
Honestly, I carry using a paddle holster most often, for comfort.
The truth is, carrying a ~4lb hunk of steel on your hip is never going to be comfortable, but a good holster and a good belt go a long way to being as comfortable as possible.
*Edit to add: I'm 5'7" and 145lbs - I'm not a large man by any stretch of the word.

I'll almost come out and disagree there (;)) but only to point out that IWBs like the one Joel made me, with a large, substantial back-piece to distribute pressure against your body and eliminate pressure-points make carrying a full-sized steel 1911 almost perfectly comfortable. I've nearly forgotten it was there at times. No discomfort. I have OWB holsters for other guns that I can't say that about.

That's a fair statement, and one I don't disagree with if the person carrying it has a little more internal padding than I do (but not too much). Your holster looks like it'd be a bit more comfortable than anything I've ever tried, and I'd love to try something like that, but simply can't afford the cost of a custom holster.
I've found that even the crossbreed and other similar holsters, whether all leather or a combination of kydex and leather - are a bit MORE uncomfortable for me - The top edge of the large "pancake" shield portion of the crossbreed style digs into my ribs unless I cut most of it away.
Trimming other leather holsters is usually out of the question due to the sewn edges.
Anyone need a kidney? I've got a spare one I don't use, and it seems I need to expand my horizons and try a custom leather holster.
Regardless, it's still not ever going to be completely comfortable strapping on a full size, railed 1911 (I think you're approaching 5lbs or more loaded). Make sure you get a GOOD belt with whatever holster you choose, and don't knock wearing a pair of good quality suspenders if the weight gets to be too much - I've been debating on whether or not to get a pair myself.

Crossbreed supertuck with combat cut and j-clips. You don't have to tuck if you don't want to, but why deny yourself that option down the road?

I have a Galco King tuk but didn't find it as comfortable as my Crossbreed I had for another guns and got a Crossbreed Supertuck for my 1911. I've never looked back and now own three for different guns I carry. I also use Beltman belts with the 7 - 3/4" instead of the usual 5 - 1" center holes for more adjustment when wearing. I've been using Beltman now for a lot of years and look like a conventional dress or casual belt but thicker and designed to support the weight of a gun.

Supertuck. I don't plan on using anything else.
You are never going to convince yourself there is nothing on your hip. But a good holster that spreads out the weight WITH A GOOD BELT helps a LOT.

I've got something similar to what Sam has, but mine came from Dwight's Gunleather (http://www.dwightsgunleather.com/Sample_Work.php). Dwight calls his version the Cactus; the linked page has a couple of pictures (upper left and center) of them. Bought a nice belt from him too. Works very well.

I've used an inexpensive Desantis Intruder IWB with both my pt1911 and my Kimber Ultra Carry and I like it. It is molded kydex with leather backer and is pretty comfortable for me (5' 11" 215 lbs).

I use an extremely comfortable, beautifully form fitted IWB holster from Horseshoe Leather Products for my Colt 1911 Combat Commander (9mm). Andy is a gentleman to correspond with, and his webiste is tops. He is a well kept secret on the other side of the pond.

I have an IWB mag pouch similar to that which I got from Milt Sparks, but I quickly found that the sweat-shield flap was a huge nuisance. I could never draw a mag without grabbing that flap as well and yanking up on my belt. I ended up cutting it off.

Ditto on High Noon - I carry a Down Under with straps every day. It is comfortable and rugged, and coupled with a High Noon Rock Steady belt, it makes even a big gun like my CZ SP-01 Phantom hide easily under a big t-shirt, even in AZ summer weather.

These work well. (http://www.gunnersalley.com/category/holstersbymanufacturer.gcodeholsters/)
Get the G-Code with the optional IWB accessory. As it breathes it's proven to be very, very comfortable when K rides her Spyder as well as my ongoing pursuit for carry diversity that permits a safe and confident re-holster. We have them in both left and right hand models for our 1911 platforms.

I have a Ruger P95 that was very hard to find a comfortable IWB holster. A friend has a box full off holsters he didn't like. I found 2 pancake type holsters that were comfortable but neither holster protected me from the hammer. I finally bought a Blackhawk ambidextrous Sportster with a magazine pouch. It's an all fabric holster - The retention strap covers the hammer on the Ruger P95. I fell asleep on the couch wearing it last night.
The serpa holsters were OK for on the hip but the IWB models were far to bulky. If you decide on a serpa make sure you try it on or can bring it back.

I have found that the best way to carry a heavy pistol IWB (or OWB for that matter) is to spread the weight out across the belt.
I designed my model 9-20 to use as little leather as possible, still allow unrestricted access to the pistol and spread the weight. I have been carrying one for a number of years and like the design and it's been well recieved by my customers.

I suggest you check out the classic Summer Special from Milt Sparks (http://www.miltsparks.com). The rough side out leather makes the gun feel about 10 onces lighter AND you get a full firing grip. No panty liner on the classic Summer Special! Add a professional quality gun belt and a mag carrier nd you are ready for some comfortable carry--winter or summer.

Comfort is relative. There is a lot to your mindset, and being willing to accept the weight and bulk. You can take a guy who turned 21 precisely 60 days ago, and just got his permit in the mail, shivering with excitement that he is FINALLY allowed to carry, and hang a Desert Eagle under his left arm, and he will SWEAR that he can't feel it. On the other hand, if you take a petite anti female, (oh yeah, I'm playing the gender stereotype card,) and have her try to conceal a Keltec....anything, in her pocket, in her purse, in the waistband, wherever, she will say it feels like an iron tumor. We have the luxury of having a lot of guns and sizes to choose from. Ask yourselves, if technology only permitted full-size, all-steel guns, would you not carry? Or would you find a way to live with it?
I use a Crossbreed Supertuck and a Galco paddle magazine/flashlight holder on the opposite side, 100+ degree summers. Shorts and a t-shirt, no big deal. I can carry anything I want to, this is what I choose, because this is what I shoot best.

I too have a Taurus PT1911 and just ordered this kydex holster from ebay. It costs only $29.95 with free shipping. It looks exactly like any higher end kydex holster costing $30-40 more like the raven holsters.

I'll post on how I like it when I get it.

It does resemble the Raven Phantom, somewhat. There are lots of similar holsters to the Raven these days and that is really a good thing for the consumer to have more options.
In my opinion, the real advantage to the Raven Concealment Phantom holsters is their adjustability. With the Raven Phantom, you can not only wear the holster IWB or OWB, but you can also adjust the ride height and cant. The adjustability maybe not a big deal for you, and in that case the lower price certainly would be an advantage.

white hat holsters, about $65 for the basic. you can customize it including putting your own picture on the holster and the kydex is interchangable unlike many other hybrids. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
