I love mine, no problems. Put a Crimson Trace laser on it and carry it everywhere. Like desantes? pocket holster better than others. Crimson Trace holster works very well too.

Never had a problem. I've got two. They don't get shot much but have gone bang every time. $299 is a decent shipped price. I've carried mine when the dress required something that fit in a pocket and it did well in that situation. Some people find the pistol uncomfortable to shoot but I personally haven't noticed it. Seems like a quality little pistol for the money.

Awesome pistol and a good price IMO. I paid that locally and it's been worth every penny. Remarkable little guns.

no problems with the lcp myself. I decided to put some sights on mine so I sent the slide to Innovative arms

Out of my LCP - 55 deg F - average of 5 shots

Speer 90 grain Gold Dot JHP - 877 fps - 155 ft/lbs
Federal 90 grain HS JHP - 868 fps - 151 ft/lbs
Winchester 95 grain Ranger JHP - 877 fps - 161 ft/lbs
Aguila 90 grain JHP - 915 fps - 168 ft/lbs

I carry the Speer Gold Dot in mine. It's my second LCP and both have been reliable out of the box.

I put a Wolff 11 pound recoil spring in mine to cut the ejection distance. The factory spring was throwing the brass 20 feet. But it was still reliable.

I paint my front sight with flourescent orange fingernail polish. Really makes it visible.

How about a photo of that. My only complaint about the LCP is about the sights.

I had on almost 3 years and liked the size and weight for pocket carry. The gun was very reliable. Recently I had doubts about "over carrying" it, so I traded it in for an lc9. I can pretty much carry it in the same manner. It's all about holsters. The "sticky" holster, makes it possible to pocket carry, or move it into your waist. The holster sticks wherever you put it. I feel a lot better having 8 rounds of 9mm, and real sights on the gun. That was my pet peeve, when I did shoot it, it was all over the target, I had no front reference, and in the dark that is a bad thing. Although the gun is made for close combat as a last resort, I realized that not all incidents end at 3 ot 6 feet. The 9mm can hit the center of the target at 30 ft. That's more satisfying for me.
I can't carry my 26 safelly at the country club, but this is thin enough to completely conceal "for me" as the 380 was.
We have a tendancy to do what is easy sometimes, I don't want to carry a gun that I don't shoot as well as I normally shoot. It's a good little gun, but I am much more at ease with the 9mm.

Love mine....

It's been solid in the three years I've had it. I painted the front lump (some call it a sight) with flourescent orange fingernail polish like a poster above. And painted two thin white lines on the rear sights.
It's accurate, doesn't jam, light enough my cell phone balances it out, and easily pocket carried.

I've been debating on buying a second one...

The 9mm can hit the center of the target at 30 ft.
So can the LCP, FYI. ;)

I'm trying to justify a PM9, but until then, the LCP is the bee's knees.

Not nearlly as fast or as accurate. I have had both. At night you can't see the front sight because there isn't one. I carried one becase it was a reliable small gun. I had a seacamp also 15 yrs ago, got rid of that for the same reason.I would prefer my 26, or 30 to be honest with a front night site. Perhaps I will put one on the lc9. But you can't tell me that you can react as quicklly and accuratlly with an lcp as with a larger pistol.
We all know it is a weapon of last resort, not a preferred carry weapon. It's when nothing else will fit into you're activity or your clothing, I don't ever remember taking a mini gun with me as a primary choice, only as a "means of being armed".
Believe me I as I am sure many others have been carrying 40 years, and would prefer to have a 45 on me if possible, But it's not always possible.
I found myself carrying it as strictlly a BUG, But if you can carry a more powerful bug, you are ahead of the curve. The velocity of the 380 in that small a barrell is subject. I don't know if the hollow points will expand.
These things made me question why I was carrying the gun as frequentlly as I was. In my theatre of use, I want a gun theat I can have my hand on, before an incident occurs, the lcp allowed that, but so does the LC9 with the right holster, so it just came down to which gun I would choose to use, should that happen.

Living in the South during the summer months presents the usual concerns regarding concealed carry and clothing. The CT doesn’t add a lot of weight and you can see the fit. I carry the LCP in a Desantis holster, “The Nemesis”. I also have other holsters for OWB, IWB and ankle carry. Clothing permitting, I carry a spare magazine in an old knife holster.

The CT Laser and the enhancement of the front sight improve target acquisition. Even without it I have no doubt that she can get the job done. Depending where I’m going to she is usually a BUG for either a SIG P-239 or a Kimber 1911 .45 ACP.

Of course it’s a personal preference, I own several revolvers and pistols and this is the only weapon I have put a laser on.

lcp with sights added. It still works with my pocket and Thies ITW holsters.

I put a white dot on the front sight using a tooth pick and some White Appliance Paint Touchup paint. An El Cheapo way to do it. But what the heck.

I just shot the ruger 380 LCP with my left hand un-supported at 12 yards and all I can say this gun laid a full clip into a 3/4" group;
I was thinking into getting one to replace the 22 cal. beretta 21A I been using for summer carry the last 22 years.
I am in my 9 week of rotor cuff surgery Strong Arm Right shoulder so the gun perform like a storm trooper
I did have my reading glasses on to see the small front sight, trigger pull was long but at the stop point the trigger broke clean
I did run 2 more full clips and again no larger then a 1" to 1 1/2" spread

@ Lonewolf - they use magazines, not clips (http://www.thegunzone.com/clips-mags.html).

@OP - congrats on the new gun!

In the market for a pocket .380 myself and I think thats a pretty good price - the best ive seen them is $285 delivered a few months ago.

Although I have options for carrying .45 .40 .357 .38 and 9mm, the .380 LCP gets the nod most of the time.

I dabbed some white dots on the "sights", put a hunk of bicycle inner tube around the grip and use the mags with the finger extension. Works great for me.

I use a keltec belt clip to carry it IWB. I have a Desantis pocket holster for it but in my opinion it just looks like a gun in a pocket holster in my pocket.
