What make is that top shotgun? I know it's a single barrel trap gun.

I would not have a gun unless it had a wood stock. The exception would be an AR-15.

I like the "black" guns as much as any 'gun-aficionado.' That being said, there is nothing "NEW" today that matches the utter beauty of the guns of past :). I kind of began to feel the same way when I reached 40 (not older but wiser as they say). In fact and to illustrate this, lately have have had an 'itch' for a Coach-Gun of all things just for its classic-beauty.

And I notice that as I get older, my tastes are in heading in retrograde. I was an all black rifle/steel/polymer guy. Really wanted the latest and greatest. So far my favorite handgun is the HK P7. Modern but not new. After buying an AR, I really fulfilled a 20+ year itch with an HK MP94 clone.
Now, I'm looking at a bolt .308. The Ruger Sight Scout in LH design. It's got a wooden stock for peet's sake.

Well, if you happen to have any of those tasteless "black", "plastic", or "tacticool" firearms left over, I'm perfectly willing to help improve the decor of your overall collection by taking the tasteless firearms off your hands. (Wood furniture is a reason for me not to get a firearm, personally, but then again I'm young).

I agree that its not getting "old", its just determining what you like and going with that instead of following the crowd and getting the latest greatest firearm. I like your choices.

I got over the black plastic at age 17.
I still assert that I will never get old.

In the last few years I have gone from Black rifles to lever Actions. Sold the Benelli M1 in favor if A 20" Win Mod 12. And I am only 60 years young.

I'm 46 and just bought a pre-Model 15 Combat Masterpiece.....instead of the Glock 22 I've been eyeballing and had saved the money for. The Glock would have been my first ever polymer pistol. I have an old 1897 (1933) and a nice Browning O/U (1965)....a Model 3 (1898)....you just have good judgment!

Far a s I can tell, your taste in guns just means you have good taste.

Not a thing wrong with these guns. They worked when new and, if kept in good condition, will work just fine today. I wouldn't say you were old, just eco-friendly. You are helping to conserve the earths resources by extending the working life of existing tools. Sounds very 21st century to me.
