Hi all,

I ordered a conversion cyl. for my piatta 1858s. I keep a spare cylinder loaded with 40g 3f and ball but I think that after dark the flash would cost me my night visionhttp://images.thehighroad.org/smilies/shocker.gif So I am looking for a 250g load at 8-9hun fps and of course a lead bullet. What I've found on line don't specify all lead but do say cowboy ammo. Is cowboy ammo always lead? Any info is appreciated.
Bob

Cowboy ammo is always going to have lead bullets, but it's often factory loaded below 800 fps.

Here's an outfit that offers free shipping on cases of ammo:

If I were you I'd just go shove as much Triple Seven FFFG in there as you can and top it off with a nice soft lead bullet. Or you could do that with the regular cylinder, that would work!
