I have never owned a rifle like an SKS, AR or AK. I have a guy that has one that has a dragunov stock and scope with 4 boxes of ammo that he is wanting to trade and $100 for my CZ Rami D with 5 mags. I don't know enough about those rifles to know if that is a good deal or not. What do you guys think?

SKS $200
Butthole stock -$50
Crap scope mount -$25
5x boxes of 7.62 39 $20

I'd say offer him $130 and keep the CZ.

It depends on which SKS he has. A Russian is worth considerably more than a Norinco/Chinese. A Yugoslavian is somewhere in between those two. The add on parts do not add to the value at all. Going prices for unaltered SKSs start @around $300 going to $450 or better for a Russian in pristine condition. An SKS-M or D which uses AK-47 magazines and the Cowboys Companion and the Farmer's Companion sell for $400 and up but must be all original.

I agree, any unaltered, clean SKS is $300+. An aftermarket stock would detract from that number for me, unless all the original (numbers matching) parts are included.

SKSs have gone up some in the last few years. Around here a really clean one would "retail" for $350-400, again thats' retail. A bunch of SKS "accessories" really doesn't add much if any value. Most scope mounts made for SKSs that don't require any alteration are worthless and can't hold a zero and in my opinion add no value. "Dragonov" stock is pretty much a "wash," might be a slight plus to some, a minus to others. I personally would prefere the original stock with a screw on extension. My best guess without seeing them is that "even up" is probably a some what fair trade but I wouldn't throw any extra $$$$ in.

He said that this is a Norinco. Im glad I asked first. I really like my CZ, but after I got my XD40SC, I haven't shot it much. I want a rifle, but I don't want to get ripped off or to get a bad deal to get one.

He was going to give me the SKS and $100 for my CZ.

I would rate a norinco above a yugo personally. I'm out on the grenade launcher, and and the norinco's have shot well. I"d say his whole setup is worth around 300.

Ah, who the extra $100 went to wasn't clear, at least to me. In that case I'd say you're getting a pretty good deal.

All that stuff and $100 for your Rami is fair. Personally, I prefer the Norinco's over the Yugo SKS's anyway. Check the Norinco, see if it has a triangle with a 26 in it on the side of the receiver. They tend to be some of the better made Norinco SKS's.

Norinco SKS is worth 250-300. Nothing else you listed is worth a dime except the ammo. Don't know how much your CZ is worth. Make sure no one has butchered the trigger on your SKS. Ask if he still has the original stock. Does it have the original fixed magazine?
