Thumbs down, Tagua belts

It's fairly supportive, but working up a sweat in the yard all day yesterday left a mess of black stain all the way around the top of my cargo shorts. It's about time I bought a good belt.

His gun belt experience is with a Tagua belt.
Since you're in NC, you should take a look at "The Beltman", another North Carolinian.

Tagua belts and holsters are made in Paraquay. I find them very affordable but somewhat all over the ballpark in QC. Got 2 good holsters and a one that fell apart in 6 months. Roll of the dice at best.

I've read through most of that thread, but didn't post this there. I'll mention it to him.
Beltman is high on my list. Also saw a link here to some rather inexpensive Amish belts that got a LOT of good reviews, though I wonder about similar problems in another cheap belt.

There is no reason for dye bleeding.

Well that solidifies it for me I was looking at their plain belt in brown to replace an old highnoon one. I had some leather bleeding issues also on a pair of khakis from a Tagua holster. The holsters are stitched decently but the design was poor and the material was excessive.

I've got two of their holsters and am happy with both. Never tried one of their belts but I get mine made to fit me at a saddle shop in Luling, Texas and they last, and DONT bleed. I think I will stay with what works.

I bought an Aker last summer through a THR member, http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=586975
Good belt. Still looking good and holding well. I'm a big ol' boy and needed a custom ordered size. Even with that, I think I had my belt in 3 weeks.

They sure are cheap. $30 delivered!

I have no experience with a good gun belt. But i'll post a video on youtube and link it here. Then you guys can see if it is indeed a good belt or not. Anything you would like me to test it with? What do you want to see addressed in the video?

"There is no reason for dye bleeding."
Actually there are several reasons, but the most common is that it wasn't finished properly.
