The moderators on this forum seem to close threads like mad?
Is this forum ruled with a iron fist, in controlling fashion?
Started a thread for the .458 Lott in rifles and it got closed in 1/2 page for no good reason???

They prefer to not have 1,000 threads on the same topic. Hence why the bear thread was closed; there are already several open.

Also, they have guidelines for what is and isn't on-topic for discussion here on THR....and just a heads up, this most definitely is not.

I seem to see a bit of "I feel" as much as "for the good of the site".


I like them getting after pissin' matches, duplicate threads, off topic and especially SHTF/zombie/ninja... threads but there seems to be an over zealous almost competitive air to some of the aggressive closings lately.

Sure, I've not agreed with everything, but overall, I think the mods do a great job here. They keep the BS to a minimum, and that's a good thing. They put in the hours for free. I wouldn't do it. It's a pretty thankless job.

You know what's funny? When you create two accounts in violations of the rules here, respond to yourself in various threads, and then when you complain that a thread you created was locked, you post it from the wrong account.

Then why did you claim to start the thread? From the information he has, it was definitely a reasonable conclusion, and one that I believe for now until we know why you claimed to start it.....or you could leave the hole be and not dig yourself any deeper...
