Just picked up a RIA Tactical in .45 on Friday. First impressions were.....it is awesome. The fit and finish is that of much more expensive 1911's. I put my own grips and magwell on it, other than that its stock. I got to take it out Sunday and put 100rds of WWB through it with no problems. I have a feeling, this is going to become my favorite handgun in short time.

Just like mine. Shot it for the first time over the weekend and was very satisfied.

I actually sold a Springfield Loaded model once I got a RIA 1911 CS. I've since added Novak Tijicon night sights, changed grip and had Armscor Precision do a super tune on it. Even though it has a 3 1/2 bull barrel it is way more accurate than I am capable of shooting. This is the second RIA/Armscor gun I've owed the other is a Tanfoglio gun built by Armscor similar to the EA witness P in 9mm.

I've been carrying mine every day since I got it - Comfortable, accurate, reliable, and it's got that gorgeous 1911 mystique.
The grips are my own handmade smooth walnut grips

Nice!
I really like those grips. Black grips on Black guns just looks right.
