inexpensive adjustable "cat-tail"

I had this flexible, reusable clamp in amongst emergency supplies. Realized it makes a quick, simple cat-tail (I think this is the term) on the scope for faster manipulation. Most of the zoom rings on different scopes I tried it on worked well, except for those that were tapered.

Cool...seems to work well.
Is that a Colt LE AR?

That is a neat idea. I have not heard of anyone else desiring this "cat-tail" thing, but I can imagine it being useful in certain situations.
Have often have other people enhanced their zoom rings this way?

Why yes indeed it is.
I've seen specific clamp-on ones but they all cost a lot more than this one! The 3-gun competition crowd is most likely where you'd find such usage.

Here you go! (http://gobstock.com/_014717391030-Pvc-Sewer-Hose-Mini-Clamp)
My favorite sewer hose clamp EVER!;) That wasn't where I got it but it does seem like maybe an even better price. I'm thinking I picked up mine at Walmart in the closeouts of the RV section.
No... It wasn't me at the 3-gun comp in Texas. I WISH I was at any 3-gun competitions anywhere...

Thanks for sharing.
I'm a big fan of any clamp that keep sewage on the inside of any containment apparatus.
