Im new at this whole FFL transfer thing
I ordered a rifle from maine tactical and havent heard anything for weeks
they told me the rifle would ship the 28th of april or may 4th
I called may 3rd 4th 5th and today (the 9th) with no answer at all on the other end
all I want is conformation or an explaination that my rifle has shipped or why it has not
I have emailed them and even used the form on their web page but no response
im beginning to worry that something is wrong
am I being irrational or should I cancel my order and go elsewhere?
no money has been taken from my account but I still havent heard word one from them other than a conformation e-mail that the order was placed
does anyone else have experience with them?
AR.com had a guy going through a similar situation a little while back but they did get back to him and shipped his lower but the customer support just didnt exist
anyone have any advice?

Is the gun on order? At times, even if an item is "on stock", it actually isn't. Any reputable and professional store would respond to inquiries, especially a purachsed item within 48 hours. It has been weeks, I would personally cancel it and look somewhere else.
If I may ask, what did you order?

My advice would also be to cancel since they won't answer or return your calls.

Bingo!!! Cancel now. Any business that will not answer the phone is trouble.

I would cancel the order. Poor communication is a poor business model to deal with.

I would also cancel. BUT I would also be sure to contact whatever bank your credit card is with and make sure to let THEM know that you have canceled the order. Some of the lesser reputable companies will still grab the money and make you fight to get it back. Especially since the order was placed over 30 days ago. You will eventually get your money back (most times) but they get to "use" your money interest free for however long it takes them to get around to refunding it to you. It's a long time scam that several poorly reputed companies fall to.

If they are this bad at communicating before they get your money what are they going to be like after they have your cash?
I'd cancel too.
