If this was meant as an inquiry, you've posted it in the wrong place...I've moved it to the correct section
If you have a question of why a thread was closed, you should PM the moderator who closed it or one of the moderators of the sub-forum where the thread was posted
I'm confused. You wouldn't want to close a thread without providing some closing explanation? Since that thread had already had several "why is this still open" comments it would seem reasonable to close the thread after explanations had been given on the purpose of keeping it open. Once there was enough info exchanged there's no point in being repetitive or being pedantic in the arguments.
