I need some help with my new Promag PM290 front sight. This is the detachable, backup iron sight. I'm not an AR expert, but I thought the front post design was supposed to mimic an A2 front sight, and I bought a UTG A2 sight adjustment tool. The prongs on the tool appear to be too thick to fit the notches in the round base of the sight. Am I missing something? Thanks.

Yes, Promag is crap.

Good luck with your new sight. Maybe you can file down a piece of wire and use that to make adjustments.

Some suggestions:
1) Use a bullet tip (5.56mm FMJ)
2) Use a nail
3) buy a higher quality and/or standard front sight

Bullet tip or finish nail.
