I bought my tags and a bunch of gear, but the best laid plans of mice and men often go usender. I had to go to Florida to visit my sick uncle.

I lost all of the pre season and now it's a week into the spring turkey seasons dn I never did any scouting.

Where are the best spots for finding birds? Should. Bring my shotgun and scout, and if I see a bearded tiurkey, just take it?

after a rain stake out the edge of fields, you should set up in the edge of the woods and be well hidden, they like to come out to dry off and eat. by missing pre season scouting you will be blind in your hunt for good places. maybe a friend will put you on a few fields. or you could run and gun,hit a mountin road or trail and every 200 yds or so stop and call with the hen yelps, taking a few minutes to listain for a globbled sounding off.when you do,get set up quick and wait for him to show. good luck. eastbank.
