This is a very strange problem that pops up from time to time.

Right now, I'm unable to view the third page of this thread:
http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=658221

I can view the first and second pages just fine. But everything I try to do to get to the third page brings me to the second page.

Clicking the page number, clicking the "next page" arrow, and even putting in this url:
http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=658221&page=3
just brings me to the second page.

Every now and then, the problem occurs in other threads. It generally involves not being able to access the third and final page.

Any ideas?

It will probably work tomorrow afternoon, but it seems so strange.

I would guess that there have been posts removed from the thread. I've seen it before.

I've seen something similar once or twice before. Sort of like the board software had set up a third page but there weren't any posts on it yet. I don't know if that's actually what happened, but it was all I could figure at the time. Haven't seen it in a long time now, though I have my post-per-page setting set very high so very few threads get to more than a page or two.

It is strange looking, and it is a bug in the vBulletin software. mavracer's guess was a good one, that's what causes the problem.
