You can now be held indefinatlly with no trial, and no charges. Some of the things that are deemed suspicious are buying guns, collecting precious metals, spending large amounts of cash, etc.
I have cross checked this on a dozen "fact checking" websites and it seems to be true. This is to be used any time in peactime, not for a national disaster, declaring the entire country a battlefield. And I assume we are all treated as the enemy. This abuse of power really should not stand. Included are of course the confiscation of weapons, and any of your belongings without any reasons needed to be given.
It's like treating us all as terrorists.

I believe this is a bit of a leap. Being suspected of being a terrorist and the "potential indicators of terrorism" are not one in the same.

However, if you are thinking along those lines that they are, then the list provided is far too short. Don't forget...
contact with terrorist individuals or organizations
watching or sharing jihadist videos
travel to places with large populations of extremists
online research about weapons, weapons training, tactics, etc.

The document then lists examples of suspicious behavior indicative of terrorism, which include, “Exaggerated yawning when engaged in conversation,” “glances,” “cold penetrating stare,” “rigid posture,” and “goose bumps”.
along with buyijng supplies in bulk.

Obama signed the NDAA last year on December 31st so sadly this isn't new.

I voted against Obama and I was disappointed when he won but I had hoped that he might curtail the privacy/freedom abuses of the Bush administration. He has done the complete opposite since he was elected. We still have the PATRIOT Act and Obama has pushed for warrant less cell phone tracking and the internet kill switch.

This is a law which could be used in exaggerated fashion, but it is not specific as to firearms. While it is an expansion of police power insofar as judgement by people in law enforcement, there is no direct effect in the absence of suspicion of terrorism.

And about all we can do is talk about the political aspects, which are apropos for some other website...
