No particular reason, just wonderin'...
Which grips? Don't care for the Eagle SS grips 'cause they ain't made for a 3-finger grip.
What do you guys think?

Is there any preferred price range or material?
You could always just grab a set of NOS Uncle Mike combat grips off of ebay for about 22 bucks.
I did that with my 3" GP100 while I was waiting for other grips to arrive. Worked fine.

Uncle Mikes boot grip is what I use when I get the urge to carry my Model 15...they work great.

These are awesome. Cheap, ugly, pure utility. No grabbing on clothes. I carried them for years on my 3" 65 until the recoil just hurt too much and, I went with rubber. I still have a set on my 642 that I pocket carry. I usually stipple the front strap a little with a soldering iron.

I like the rosewood grips from Badger Custom (http://www.badgercustomgrips.com/smith_and_wesson_pistol_grips.php). They sell boot grips and a combat type grip that's a little longer since you mentioned you wanted a 3 finger grip.
