Just as the title says I am looking for an inexpensive (or as much so is possible) solution to mounting a red dot on my 686. I started shooting bullseye and would like to use an optic. Anyone got any ideas?

Weigand mount, or a J-Point with mount. The Weigand mount will be cheaper as it can use any red dot sight you have. This is assuming the gun is drilled and tapped.

Im looking for something that would work with the stock mounting holes. I have found a few that just attach like the rear sight, and the other that attaches to the sideplate screws, seems like the sideplate screws option would be the best.
