I was whining on here a couple months back about how my TC encore shot sub MOA at a 100 and then went to crap at 200. Shot her with a cold barrel today at 200 and bingo great hit second shot was a little more off and it just got worse.

Swapped over to 165 grains and wow I shot my first ever 1 inch group at 200 3 shots inside an inch at 200 with a warm barrel. Guess I learned that my TC prefers 165 grains to 150. I had no idea that changing bullet wts could affect a rifles accuracy so much. I was about to sell the thing not so much now

This ever happen to yall?

Very common. Take measurements of the OAL that works best, chances are it isnt the weight but how deeply the bullet is seated in the case and how that bullet seats in relation to the rifling.

I am ignorant and have no idea what OAL means.

All I know is I was shooting no worse than an inch at 100 of bags and at 200 I was around 8 inches. That was eating at me.

It's happened with every gun I own it seems like. It's half the fun of shooting, finding what your gun likes is like Christmas morning you open up a couple boxes of ammo that just doesn't impress you them all the sudden BINGO. A real Daisy RedRyder BB GUN / round that groups well. Now the 'ol bad Bart / target doesn't stand a chance. Enjoy your victory, keep shooting and it won't be the last time you see this.

I think he is referring to the overall legnth of the round. bullet seating depth plays a big part in accuracy.

Getting the bullet weight right is 75% of the answer.....
