I'm reloading a bunch of 22-250 for a prairie dog trip and ran out of Varget. Of course no one has any on hand and I dont have time to order any. I do have some IMR 4350 but I can't find any data for the Berger 60 grain FB Varmint hp's. I do see on Hodgdons website they recommend 38-40 grains of IMR 4350 for 63 grain soft points. Would I be able to use this data for my Bergers being three grains lighter?

Typically, you can go to a lighter bullet with the same powder charge.

Redneck is right, but your velocities are going to suck. :( That's the downside. You probably can't cram enough 4350 in the case to give decent velocity with the lighter bullets. You can't get your hands on any other fast powders? Obviously there's a myriad of choices but my 22-250 loves Reloader 10x the most.

Invest in several pounds of IMR4064. It's a great powder for that caliber. 4350 is tooooo sllllooowww. :D

luckily I ended up only having to use 4350 for the last dozen and ahalf rounds. The rest will be just fine. Thanks for the help guys
