I like the looks of this stock but y so expensive..what are the perks and y should i spend 250 bucks on a stock..is it worth it or is it just a stock for guys who like to spend to much money...looking at one for a 458 socom deer rifle

it locks up like a fixed stock. it has a cheek weld as good as a fixed stock. it is a little heavy, but sometimes that's what you want. it's my favorite stock. i have 3 or 4 ARs with UBRs

Thank you...that helps since i was wanting a fixed stock but being able to make it shorter when wearing insulated gear is a big plus...also being on the 458 i wanted something a little sturdier

You'll really enjoy the UBR. It will work great on that .458. It's kinda hard to explain or justify in words why it's worth it, but once you field it you'll understand.

My roomate has the UBR stock on his 300Blackout AR. Its pretty heavy, but it is a very solid stock with a good cheek wield and some storage room for spare parts if you choose.

not really my thing because I like lightweight rifles, but it has its purposes.

i have a mako recoil stock on mine and its great and way less money. just a thought
