Well guys, Mother's day is tomorrow, and I'm planning on getting mine an LCR .22. Has anyone had any experience with them, long term? Any out-of-box issues, perhaps?
Just looking for opinions. Thanks!

I have one and it is a fun little revolver to shoot and is surprisingly accurate and easy to shoot for a snubbie. No issues out of the box, but I would inspect whatever you buy. Trigger is not too bad and hopefully it will smooth out a bit with use. They hit the market in December 2011/January 2012.
Hard to find a decent holster for one, but the nylon Uncle Mikes #0 works for me. I mostly carry mine out in the woods and plink with it and have little interest in concealed carry (but you never know). Not really worried about protection in my area in the woods although there are black bears and dogs.

I don't have my LCR.22 yet. I get it this weekend. Do the .22 and the .38 LCR heve the same external dimensions? I have the .38 with a nice molded leather holster.

There are holster gear toward concealed carry, but few traditional belt holsters like I prefer for carry out in the woods. But I will eventually find a nice holster for mine; until then, the Uncle Mike's will do.
I believe they have the same external frame dimensions although I am not sure about the cylinder diameter.

I have one and it is a blast to shoot. Not much recoil, trigger on mine is very good, and it is very accurate for a snubby.
I got mine for my wife. She grew up around guns and has been hunting a few times, but not a "gun person". She did not like it. Said she hated the sights. You might want to consider that before you get it for her.
It is going to work out just fine though, because now I got me a new fun plinker. I am probably going to look at a .22mag snubby with better sights for her

What ammo have ya'll been plinking with? One is on the way and I have a ton of federal bulk and winchester value packs...how is the accuracy with these.

I don't seek serious accuracy with mine. I honestly don't know if I would notice a difference between target ammo and bulk ammo (other than HV vs SV). It is just a fun little revolver to shoot. I have used Federal Bulk, Federal Lightning, and CCI HV so far.

They are exactly the same except the front sight is not as tall on the LCR22

The LCRs are neat little guns. I did notice that, when handling them side-by-side in the LGS, the .22 LCR had a substantially heavier trigger than the .38/.357 models. I suppose this is necessary for reliable rimfire ignition.

They make nice size stainless one which can be had for about $500. I would not mind owning one.
