Does anyone here use Ramshot Exterminator powder? What are your likes and dislikes? I've always used H335 in .223 but wanting to try something new for some prairie dog loads.

I use Enforcer, Tac, Hunter, and ExTerminator mostly. While priced less than the other brands I have been surprised with the great results time and again with the .223 and 308 loadings in my various rifles. Give any of them a try and I bet you end up happy. Your best bet is to use ExTerminator for lighter (less than 60 grains) bullets in 223 and use Tac for heavier (above 55 grains) bullets. This works best for me in my AR's, Mini 14's, and a couple bolt's that I have.

I agree with FROGO207. TAC can be very useful in some other larger calibers as well.

I've used TAC in .223 and .308 with good results. However, my goto powders are A-2460 for .223 and IMR-4064 in .308. YMMV. The only way to see what your rifle likes best is to load different powders and shoot 'em. Good luck.

X-T is the same powder as AA 2230.

I like Tac for .223, Tac and X-T for .444 Marlin. Enforcer is good for 30 Carbine.

I tried xterminator in my ar loaded with 55 grain fmj. I had mixed results though. 24 grains ran good in one rifle, but in the other I had cases that stuck in the chamber. The extractor would pull a section of the rim off. Every thing else ran fine in this rifle. This is a new rifle so I havent played with it much. I have been running WC844 in it for bulk plinking ammo. What type of rifle do you plan to use for the p-dogs. I say go for it if you want somthing new. It is a burn speed that if you dont like it in 223, you can use it in other calibers. On the other hand if H335 is working for you why change.
