What can you tell me about these rifles?
I handled one today and can't get over the feel of the weapon(20" fluted barrel) balanced well and had a great trigger. Best of all with the SCAR's out the FNAR is down to $999 NIB.

I think they are a very good precision rifle for that price, considering one myself.

Ever since the FNAR's have dropped in price I've been seriously considering one as well. I've never heard anything but praise from people who own FNAR's and whenever I look at one in person there is nagging voice in the back of my head urging me to take it home, I probably will eventually.

Winchester SX-AR here for quite a few years now. It has a 20" unfluted barrel and wears Mossy Oak Brush pajamas. Same gun as the FNAR except no flutes. There is also a 18" barreled FNAR too. Disassembly is fairly complex. Magazines are expensive. Reliability has been 100%. Accuracy is 1MOA from factory. It is heavy, especially with good glass. Love hunting with mine even though it is heavy. Recoil is light, follow-ups are fast. Antelope, mule deer, white tails, yoddle-dogs - works great. Last speed goat I took with it was at 389 yards. Haven't taken bear or elk - yet - as I often opt to hunt with handgun.
If I didn't have one, I'd be all over a FNAR for under $1000. It is not a battle rifle. It is a tactical platform for a swat sniper or such role. It also makes for a darn nice hunting rifle, provided one doesn't mind the weight.

I've had an FNAR for about 9 months now. Had an issue with it at the beginning....FNH customer service took care of it without any questions.
My FNAR review (http://www.stu-offroad.com/firearms/fnh/fnar/fnar-1.htm) and details of the problem I had.
