Hey, well I thought ide give this a shot before I buy the stuff to do it myself but if anyone has a sandblasting set up and could help me strip the finish off an Ak would be helpful. I would of course have no problem paying 20-30 bucks. If so shoot me an email dobrzemetal@gmail.com. thanks

In a pinch for small stuff like a rifle or pistol, I've used a solvent gun with fine abrasive like spark plug abrasive or baking soda. Or check with a machine shop and ask for bead blasting if you need to remove rust or auto body shop for soda blasting for light rust or finish removal. Either methods removes less metal than sand.

It's 2 hours south of you but Souther Exposure Training in Lakeland might know someone in your area. Look them up and send an e-mail.

Pull the bolt out, take off the furniture, plug the barrel, and take it to a local body shop. Any body shop should be able to blast the unit down for you for that price you quoted. Then, its up to you to do a tear down to clean out the abrasive.
