i was wondering if you could get an extended magazine tube for a maverick 88

The cap to the mag tube is what the barrel screws into, and doesn't appear to be removable.

I don't know if you can get them 'after the fact'. However, I do know the Mavericks are sold with an 8 round tube with the 20" barrel 'defender', as compared to the 6 round tube on their other models. And both claim to be compatible with the Mossberg 500 barrels.

Sure. No problem, common Mossberg part. Of course you also need a compatable barrel with the proper lug position.

Sicari has it right...you will need the mag tube, barrel and possibly the mag spring.

MOST Mossberg 500 parts fit the Maverick 88, except for the trigger group. Maverick has the trigger gruard safety, Mossberg has the tang safety.

If you have a 20" 7+1 Maverick, no.

If you have an 18.5" 5+1 Maverick, as stated above, you can swap the entire mag tube to the 7+1 length but wil need the 20" barrel to go with it.

You cannot add an aftermarket extension of any kind to it.

Bingo. I was looking at this exact same product for my Mossy a while back. Great price for what you get. It is about $120.00 or more just to get a replacement barrel around here.
