ns66 May 15, 2012, 11:23 AM i already have a black handgun, now i want to buy a 9mm (or .380) beauty for looks and play, of course it has to shoot well, but very important i want a handgun that's beautiful
i like the cz 75b high polished stainless steel (i like PCR too but they only make black), that's my prime candidate, but anything shiny SS or chrome i'd like to hear about it. also i have limited budget cant go over 1k, ideally around $500 :P
thanks!

Pilot May 15, 2012, 11:28 AM Browning Hi Power
CZ-75 variant
HK P7 (if you don't like blue, there are many hard chromed around for sale)
1911 in 9MM
robinkevin May 15, 2012, 11:32 AM I am currently on the hunt for a nice 3rd Generation Smith and Wesson in SS such as the 5906. For $500 you should be able to find one in tip top shape and then with some nice wood grips you can really have a beautiful looking weapon in my opinion.

Something like this would be a dream for me...
P.S. - It's stainless so you can always get a polish job done to bring out the shine!
tuj May 15, 2012, 11:39 AM S&W 952 or Sig 210.
Short of that, the 5906 is a great gun.
Nordeste May 15, 2012, 11:41 AM I'd say, if you want something "beautiful", CZ 75 or variants (my personal liking is the SP01 Shadow), or Beretta 92.
ritepath May 15, 2012, 12:17 PM http://www.sigsauer.com/upFiles/catalog/product/P226-Stainless-Elite-detail-Hero.jpg
P226 stainless
Loosedhorse May 15, 2012, 12:31 PM You just might be able to get a nice, older Browning HP for that.
wbwanzer May 15, 2012, 12:37 PM I think these two are pretty nice looking: SIG 229 and Witness Elite Match

gpjoe May 15, 2012, 01:11 PM Well, I'm a 1911 guy so I picked up a Springfield EMP in 9mm, though it may stretch your budget a bit. (Picture from google images.)
CaptainHook May 15, 2012, 01:24 PM i like the cz 75b high polished stainless steel, that's my prime candidate
Ask and you shall receive . . . right here is a LNIB polished stainless CZ-75B for sale right where you wanted to be price wise:
http://forum.pafoa.org/firearms-6/173297-cz-75b-high-polish-stainless-9mm-lnib-rare.html
Thompsoncustom May 15, 2012, 02:25 PM I'd say the pick you started with, beautiful gun and will shot as good as it looks. Or get a cz 75b and have it hard chromed like this guy did to his sp-01.

Ben86 May 15, 2012, 02:47 PM I suggest checking out the Sig P210 Legend. It's awfully pricy, but what a great looking gun. Also, Browning HiPower, 9mm 1911s, and EAA K2s.
The_Armed_Therapist May 15, 2012, 02:49 PM +1 on the Witness Match... VERY beautiful gun. All Sigs are beautiful, too, imo.
The_Armed_Therapist May 15, 2012, 02:50 PM ...Except the P250s, that is. LOL
Bobson May 15, 2012, 03:08 PM I'd agree with the P226. SIG makes several 226 models that are gorgeous IMO. The P226 Elite Stainless and P226 Equinox are my favorites; and you know they're excellent performers to boot.
Short of the 226 (and IMHO, it would be short), the CZ75B would make a great runner-up.
Nushif May 15, 2012, 04:38 PM A Beretta 84 is a pretty darned smmoth and fancy gun, too ...
Auto426 May 15, 2012, 04:52 PM Buy a new Browning Hi Power in blue, and add some Hogue wood grips:
http://i49.tinypic.com/14kgvoi.jpg
I went with an epoxy finish for mine because of my high humidity environment, but the blued versions are just downright beautiful. The newest Hi Powers are probably some of the best ever made.
vaupet May 15, 2012, 05:04 PM sig 232 stainless, even JLO loves hers:D

7mmb May 15, 2012, 06:59 PM I vote for the Witness Elite Match too. I just got back from the range with it and it was, as always, a tack driver. That's the gun you pull out when you want to embarrass the guy shooting next to you. At ten yards the guy next to me shooting his plastic 9mm was shooting dinner plate sized groups off hand at ten yards. My Match was shooting silver dollar sized ragged holes off hand. I swear if you do your part you can't miss. And if you don't do your part it will do it for you. And this awesome gun is in your price range too! :D

meanmrmustard May 15, 2012, 07:46 PM Hi point.:neener:
Dr.Rob May 15, 2012, 07:48 PM CDNN has blue and matte black versions of the BHP right now. $750 for blue, $700 for matte black.
MrDig May 15, 2012, 07:58 PM Another vote for the BHP. I cannot tell you how happy I am with mine and the FEG Copy I have.
csa77 May 15, 2012, 08:09 PM browning hi power
Telekinesis May 15, 2012, 08:14 PM HK P7. I'm not a fan of the nickle finished ones, but that might work if you really want it shiny. Personally I think the blued looks excellent.
straight-shooter May 15, 2012, 08:29 PM What, no love for the Beretta 92FS Inox ? Put some stunning wood grips on this baby and the WOW factor is there IMO.
I gotta tell ya though, everything posted here so far is a great choice.

otasan56 May 15, 2012, 08:46 PM I think that my Glock Model 17 is a beautiful handgun.
Bobson May 15, 2012, 08:57 PM I think that my Glock Model 17 is a beautiful handgun.
+1
Never understood people who think Glocks are ugly.
dubya450 May 15, 2012, 10:35 PM I have a gun mag that has an article on the CZ you posted and ever since i read it I thought that was one of the nicest looking pistols I've seen. There are a quite a few other good looking 9's though. One off the top of my head is one of the kimbers.

Not ugly. I've always thought there was a certain elegance to their businesslike simplicity.
"Something to admire?"
ummm... no.
StrikeFire83 May 15, 2012, 11:14 PM http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l315/strikefire83/Range%20Pics/Glock17.jpg
My Glock 17 IS beautiful. And the fact that I have over 14,000 rounds through it without incident makes it even more beautiful.
You know what's most beautiful (beautifulist?) about it...what I can do with it at 10 yards rapid fire.

greyling22 May 15, 2012, 11:32 PM hi-power with some nice grips.
It has the best curves.

My choice too!
Proud Southern Son May 16, 2012, 03:50 PM Beretta 92 Inox or in two-tone. Almost too pretty to shoot... almost.
Rush_Fan May 16, 2012, 06:19 PM I agree on the Inox Beretta 92.

Manson May 16, 2012, 08:28 PM Sig P232
Triplec May 16, 2012, 10:06 PM Well we do know that everything going on on this site is all opinion and in my opinion glocks are definitely ugly. +1 for the stainless and two tone sigs, especially with the wood grips, those are truly beautiful in my opinion.
ns66 May 16, 2012, 11:13 PM well thanks all who replied, appreciate all the input
about Beretta 92FS Inox, on their official website one comment about the sights suck, i am not sure about it
the sig 226 stainless is like 43oz? that's a monster lol
in fact i have small hands, so if i have a choice i would like cz 75 PCR, but they only make it black, chrome it maybe an option but its a hassle, not as durable as stainless, and probably cost a lot :(
Triplec May 17, 2012, 12:22 AM Anything full size in stainless is going to weigh a ton, a sig 229 is a little smaller package than the 226 and just a bit bigger than the PCR. I'd go with the pcr if you're set on it that much. I've seen cz 75 compacts in stainless, you should check out that option.
Triplec May 17, 2012, 12:25 AM http://http://i742.photobucket.com/albums/xx67/dondavis3/Guns/CZ75Compact2.jpg here you go
millertyme May 17, 2012, 01:10 AM I'm a big fan of the Witness Stock II.

bannockburn May 17, 2012, 11:47 AM I also have small hands and as such the Browning Hi-Power is a great choice for the best feel and balance of high capacity 9mm pistols.
