Just walked into A-1 Tactical Ordinance in St. Petersburg, FL the other day. Holy cow was that awesome. Class III galore. From what I understood much of the in stock stuff was from a personal collection that is just being sold off. Miniguns, BARs. One of my favorites was the SBR Ruger AC556 (there were 3). Anyway if you're ever in town you should check it out.

To make this thread useful, I saw a mini M1919 that shot .22lr. Did they actually make those pre-'68 or how does something like that work legally?

It is quite possible (probable, in fact) that some of the guns you were seeing are "Dealer Samples" which can only be sold between SOT2/3s (and to law enforcement or the military, in theory).

Even if some of the coolest items can't be sold at all to almost anyone who might stop in, it is still mighy good for business to have some of that stuff around. Sure brings folks in the door! :)
