Aztec website (http://www.aztecguns.com/images/facilities/Fac4.htm)

Chambers are checked for headspace, bolts inspected and As Per US Government Regulations, the rifles are engraved for required "Import Markings"

Once Again, the action and bolt area are scrutinized
to check for any variance and/or flaws

I've bought 2 rifles from Aztec (a M38 and a M44), and I have been totally satisfied with each. The only 'problem' is that the stocks have been shellacked heavily and I personally don't like the looks of a shellacked stock.

In the spring, I'm going to strip the stocks down and refinish them.

On average Aztec does seem to have better rifles than other importers. I have never had any problems with their stuff, and grab it when I see it.

just got this email...

Headspace checked in russia and here when they were engraved. Additional check is 10.00, we have had less than 6 bona fide headspace problems in 18,000 guns.
