I have placed an order for my Dan Wesson Havoc. I should be getting it by September this year. Please let me know what do you think about this pistol? Thanks.

The Havoc is a neat gun.
We have one in the shop and while I haven't shot it, I have run very similar guns in USPSA open before.

It is well made. slide to frame fit is nice and tight. barrel lock is tight. trigger is nice and crisp.

Did you go 9mm, or .38 Super?

Awesome guns...I've had my eye out for them for a while now, just to check out and fondle a little... have yet to find one.

$10,000 for a $4,300 gun? Even at $4k I handed it back to the counter guy. I got to get the motor rebuilt in my Sundancer so that's where my gun money is going this summer.

^^^^^ Ditto..... $10,000?????? What makes yours worth $5,800 more than the market place? Just wondering. You can buy an all in custom Open gun from Brazos for half that price. No insult intended. Your post seems a bit strange........

The duty is roughly 1.83x the msrp plus freight charges plus import permit fees and some for the aurhorized dealer who brings it into the country for me.

Wow! Where do you live? I wasn't disputing your statement. Just wondering where it would be so much more expensive to buy this pistol.

Do all guns you buy cost over twice what they would in the US? What about ammo?

Yes thats true and that is if you are importing on your own permit. Otherwise it may cost even more if you are utilizing dealer's permit. Ammo varies quite a bit but lot costs lot more than the US market.
