For the ones I don't have:

- 1st generation Colt SAA
- Artillery Luger
- Savage 1907 .45 ACP Trials Pistol
- S&W Registered Magnum
- Elephant-eared Colt Match Target

Clearly, some of those are much more likely to happen than others.

Here would be my dream list, won't ever happen however. But have to have dreams...

1. Smith and Wesson 952 SS - Dream carry
2. Smith and Wesson 1911 SS - Love the looks of the S&W 1911s
3. Smith and Wesson Model 327 - Dream pocket carry
4. Smith and Wesson 500 Revolver - Just because and why not
5. NIB Colt Python - Show piece

Can ya tell I like Smiths? LOL

High end? Sure, I can dream too:

1) Ed Brown Signature Edition (http://www.edbrown.com/signature.htm)
2) SIG P210 Legend (http://www.sigsauer.com/CatalogProductDetails/p210-legend-target.aspx)
3) S&W model 52 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Smith_%26_Wesson_Model_52)
3) Krieghoff Luger
4) Walther OSP (http://www.carlwalther.com/osp.htm)

That should take care of about 50 large!

Although the Sig P210, Grayguns X-5, and C&S 100-year Anniversary 1911 look really tempting, my own list looks like this --

1. Pistol Dynamics Combat Special.
2. Heirloom Precision Retro gun built by Ted Yost on a Colt 01918 Reproduction. Full barbecue treatment, including engraving by J.R. French.
3. Full house custom 1911 by John Harrison on a Colt Delta Elite 10mm.
4. Novak full house custom including the Next rear sight, Answer mainspring housing, and Solution slide modification.
5. Full house custom Browning Hi-Power by Don Williams

A Smith and Wesson in .44 Magnum too I know its not a semi auto but to me they are high end.
I might have a .45 acp Colt Series 70 blinged up a little and maybe spend the money on two consecutive serial # Single Actions blinged up too so that beings it to six I guess that's enough. I'm over the limit.

Wow. I was going to try to answer, but I realized that most of the high end guns I'd want are revolvers. My semi-autos are just tools to me so the fanciest I'd get is a Kahr K series Elite, or perhaps a customized S&W M&P.

Very interesting insight... hrm...

Which five highend pistols would you like to have? Minimum price limit is $1500.

I have them already ... and listed in order of favorite (at time of writing) to least favorite.

1. Ed Brown Special Forces Light Rail
2. Ed Brown Special Forces
3. Dan Wesson V-Bob
4. Dan Wesson Valor
5. Ed Brown Special Forces Carry

I'm not looking to add any more $1,500+ pistols to my collection ... but you never know.

5 wilson supergrades in various sizes and weights. CQB lightweight, Bill wilson carry, etc. If I get to dream I may as well go for a $5000.00 gun. It will always have value and I like 1911's over anything else, as long as you asked which ones I would "like" to have.Ed Brown and Les baer also would fit the bill, but you may as well dream about the most expensive ones around.I already have what I need, this is just what I would like.

I'll play... :-)

1. Feinwerkbau AW93
2. Pardini SP - with the electronic trigger.
3. Korth pistol. Yes, I said pistol. They make one.
4. Clark longslide 1911. Preferably the true longslide, not the Long Heavy Slide version.
5. Match Guns MG2 - IF I had free access to factory support. They are notoriously cantankerous.

I only prefer one, to make up for one I had many moons ago that did not work out for me.

I would like a LW Seecamp .25 Auto (preferably), but a .32 Auto I would also accept!

Back when they first came out, I bought a new one, around 1985. Unfortunately, that gun did not work out for me and I ended up trading it for something else (cannot even remember what). I did like the .25 with the leather wallet type holster in my back pocket.

Oh well, perhaps some day my dream will come true again.:)

$1500 minimum? Even the tacticool ones on my wish list, complete with a red dot, light, and trigger job wouldn't make $1500 (unless you count an AR pistol on my wishlist).

@Mike OTDP - cool list, a lot like mine! I had the MG-2 on my list but took it off only because I wouldn't want to hassle with it! But what a cool gun *when* it works.

I put more emphasis on my revolver collection than my pistols, so I tend to buy decent quality affordable/low price semi-autos. Therefore, my definition of "High End" may be different (or lower) than others, but here goes.

- Browning Renaissance HP
- Ruger sr1911 (not high end, but rare and good)
- upper end Colt full size 1911
- good condition WW2 Luger
- Nice CZ Tactical Sport

Auto Mag ($2500-ish)
Schwarzlosze Model 1898 ($25,000-ish)
Gabbett-Fairfax Mars ($35,000-ish)
Guncrafters 1911, .50 GI ($3000)

I'd also look for a 1911 that got the full boogie from Bob Day or Armand Swenson. I'm sure a documented example in decent shape would easily exceed the $1500 minimum...
