EAA has a well-deserved reputation for being grumpy. Tanfoglio-built 1911's? They've been around for while, but not common in the US.

Pistols distributed by EAA are usually good quality, although there have been many problems with cracked frames and slides in .45 and 10mm guns.

The real problem is customer service. EAA continues to have a terrible reputation. Their “gunsmith” is often rude and seems to enjoy voiding EAA’s warranty without even looking at the gun.

Google “EAA” and “Customer service”.
