How many 230 gr 45,s can I expect from 1 pound of wheel weights?

Are they raw wheel weights (unsorted, with clips) or is it a pound of clean wheel weight alloy?

Thirty 230 grain bullets weighs about a pound. But unprocessed wheel weights have a lot of waste.

In case you don't know there are 7000 grains per pound. So 7000 divided by 230 equals 30.43 or as zxcvbob said, 30 bullets.;)

My rule of thumb is that it takes 34 pounds of lead ingots to make 1000 .45acp 230gr boolits
