A few weeks ago several here said they had ordered cast bullets from Z Cast. I was wondering what everyone else that tried them thought of them. I bought some 125 gr RN 9 MM, 200 gr RNFP and 200 gr SWC 45 ACP. I thought they weren't quite as "finished" as the ones I'd been using but they seemed to load OK. They were probably more accurate than I'm capable of shooting. For the price and just for fun shooting they worked ok for me.

Some "rough" cast bullets have also been the most accurate.
All the 9mm, .40, and .45 cast bullets I ordered from National Bullet were ugly compared to Penn, but they were all as accurate or more accurate out to 30 yards.
The only way to judge a bullet is by the target and not aesthetics.

Holes on target speak volumes. ;)

In bullets as opposed to firearms fit and especially finish are not top priorities. As stated the target is the final word. If the lead bullets show some mold marks and such but they shoot as good or better than ones that are exact in every detail while still costing significantly less I am all for it. All my Zcast bullets were good to go for a great price when I shot them whats not to like.:D
