I've checked all the usual suspects that I can think of - Midway, Sinclair, Brownells, and they are all out of stock with no backorder.
Anybody know where I can score some new brass without shelling out $90 for a box of 50 loaded? Thanks.

Huntington's shows it but you would have to call to confirm it is in stock.

As far as I know, Remington was the only one still making it. It may be a seasonal thing these days. I have a box of 500 put back, but it's not going anywhere.
What rifle? Mine is an old heavy barrel Sako.

Thanks RC, I'll give them a call!
Walkalong, it's a Remington 40x built by Hart back in the 1970s. She grouped well enough for her time and my dad had some success in matches with it, but it is a bit dated now. Still provides me with a lot of fun though.

Nice rifle, very nice.
The brass I am using right now was once fired I picked up in the buy/sell area here. I am saving the box of 500 new Remington cases just in case they quit making it one day.

Isn't that what 204 Ruger is based on? You could score a few 204 R cases to get you by until you can get what you want.

I didn't realize brass was getting scarce for the .222 mag. Shame, it's a decent cartridge too.

This site shows it listed in new brass, but no guarantee with internet sites. An email is needed to verify.
