The quality of Pietta's cap and ball revolvers have really improved from the 1860s I bought back in the early 1990s

Great video. Bought one just like it recently, and have really enjoyed shooting it.

I have a couple of questions for you Mike.

Did you fill in the safety notch in the hammer or did it come that way...

Second, in the scene just prior to you firing that revolver you called it a Uberti. Which is it ....really?

I filled in the notch with JB Weld.

This video shows the steps I go through with a new cap and ball revolver before shooting it.
