Bipod for Sig 522

I'm looking to put a bipod on my Sig 522 it's the base version and doesn't have a rail on the bottom. Would anyone know if the Caldwell XLA bipod would work? Or any other suggestions? Thanks

If that is a classic 522 without quad rails, I would ditch the classic handgaurd and do what this guy did and get proper rails:

SIG makes a set of rail adapters that will attach to the Classic handguards. About twenty bucks.
