I don't understand why these ar style high tube adapters are so expensive. It can't be the cost of material and the craftsmanship. Not 150.00 worth anyways, lol. Anyone know of any other companies making them cheaper? Thanks for any info.

Why would you think those are the only costs the company has to cover? Mesa tactical wants $160 and they are sold out - so SOMEONE seems to think they are worth the money; personally, I find nothing wrong with the standard wood stock

Maybe he wants an AR telestock so it will kick much harder then the wood stock??
And it will.

I heard that the high tube setup helped manage muzzle rise and recoil more effectively

Lots of weight and light loads is the only way to reduce both

I hear ya oneounce, I'm gonna have to do something. I shot some winchester superx slugs and 000 buck today out of my 870 standard configuration and punished my cheek and my bad wrist on my trigger hand. The bad thing is that I used to work at a sporting clays club. Sometimes I would shoot hundreds of rounds a day, thousands a week without a single bruise or soreness, lol. Now I can't get through 5 slugs and 5 00 bucks without feeling the pain. My questions about the pistol grip stocks is me trying to ease my bad wrist.

Target loads are a lot nicer to shoot than slugs and buckshot - I avoid the latter two at all costs while shooting the former every chance I get
