Anyone use an original s.o.e. micro rig? If so what are your thoughts on it, is it worth the money?

If the configuration fits your needs it is definitely worth the money. Willis builds outstanding quality stuff. Sometimes it's a bit over-velcroed for my tastes but that's easy enough to deal with once surplus adjustment has been determined.

Oh, and when he says American he means it.

SOE is built the way nylon gear should be built. The seams are very well reinforced. I agree the velcro is aggressive, but as noted, that's easy enough to adjust.
