Kahr question

I took my CW9 back to the range after replacing the broken spirng. I took some reloads that I loaded with power pistol at 4 grains with a 125 g lead RD. The lowest rating was 4.8 g. I had a lot of FTFs. I think this load may be a bit too light. Since I am selling the gun and have a prospective buyer I want to make sure its running correctly but I also don't want to waste several trips to the range and ammo doing it. Has anyone had problems with light loads like this? I was getting jams that where the round was trying to go in at too steep an angle and jammed. Has anyone had this happen to them before?

Why wouldn't you demonstrate the gun to your prospective buyer with factory target ammo such as Winchester White Box from Wally World?

Its not practical, he is coming from 200 miles on his way to anohter place, and I did not ask for alturnitives to selling the gun. I was asking for those who have ran into this before. I can run a box of federal ammo before the sale to make sure but I don't want to keep running to the range. My question is would low powered ammo likely be a culprit in the gun jamming? These rounds work fine in my Smith M&P

Yes it's likely to cause stoppages.
These Micro-mini guns are operating right on the edge of what's possible in such a small package.
Changing recoil spring weights or shooting light hand loaded ammo is very likely to cause problems.
Your S&W M&P is a larger gun with a lot more room for variations and still work.

It sure would be. And whay is it not practical. Want it to sell?? use quality ammo. There are limits with smaller pistols as to how well they will funtion with light loads. Some companies tell you to not shoot 115gr ammo at all. You really can't expect it to cycle as well as say a glock 17 would with the lighter recoil springs in them . As others said run some quality prctice ammo or don't expect to be reliable. A stop worry'n about try'n to make it softer to shoot. Atleast thats all light loads do. I get away with any factory brass 115gr fmj for range time.

I was not trying to make it lighter, I just had some ammo that I use for practice in my M&P that I used. I will load what I shot up a bit so it is normal presure and see how that works and take some federal FMJ to see if it even works well. Last time I took it I had regular presure reloads and I don't remmeber it being a problem.
Just want to make sure its up and running to the guy that buys it. I don't pawn crap off on others. My problem with Kahr is with the CS rep. They really ticked me off. I know some will not understand that but thats my personality, If I don't like the CS then most likely the gun goes and I don't buy from them again.
Smith and Glock have some of the best CS in the business. I have had some problmes with Ruger in that they act like 'we are Ruger we just do it right". Had an SR9 that the Cam blcok pin kept walking out and I sent it back and all they did was replace it with a new one. LOL I loved that gun. But it made me sell it and got the M&P and that is one heck of a gun. I can't say enough good about it. It is like my Firestorm 380, not anything extra sexy but it does what it is supposed to do every time.

What ever about M&P , I could care less about a brand. Just load the ammo up to a solid level or high enought to make major and it will run fine. Just keep the pop gun ammo out of most any sub compact pistol.
I guess I'm old enought to know that 99% of all people do CS are setting around makeing hours go by. Darn few know there product well enought to help many times. If you have any issues with any makers CS go directly over there heads to the department manager. Works for me. I have had My share of CS issues to. But never what turn out to be a bad firearm. Good luck with your sale.

I did file a BBB complaint with Kahr. I also sent a letter to the CEO and informed them of the growing problems with Kahr CS. We will see what comes of it.

As I stated in the other anti Kahr thread you posted, I have only had one experience with Kahr CS and as far as I'm concerned they could not have been more accommodating and I could not have been more satisfied with Kahr.

Kok, I under stand you had a good experience with Kahr and I know many have had fine CS. I have not and its not limited to just my experience.
Your good experience does not change that fact I Had bad one and so have many others. Kahr CS seems to showing a pattern of going in a bad direction, I.E. not paying for shipping labels, using any excuse to void warranty's ect. I have filed a complaint with the BBB against the parent company of Kahr and sent a letter to the CEO, we will see if this brings any action. I have a person who wants to buy the gun and will not have time to test fire it after replacing the spring. I will inform them if they do have a problem with Kahr that they need to never tell them about the ammo they use or always tell them its WWbox. I feel that its OK to be less then honest with a company that is less than Honorable with you. IMO
I think people need to hear about all the good and bad experiances that people have with a gun company and then they can make up their mind as to how a company is taking care of their customers.

What I would like to know is why do you feel it's necessary to start multiple threads to post your experience with your particular Kahr pistol?
It's fine and yes even a good idea to post your experience, but when you feel the need to run two threads on your experiences at the same time I'm suspect as to what your motive really is!
