I have a superposed from 1969 and I can't figure how to get the forearm off to get at some rust on the barrel. I don't want to hurt the wood. It has a long screw in the center of the front of the forearm near the muzzle end. But I can't see any other screws to get the forend off. Help!

the forearm does not come off like a Citori does - it is part of the barrel assembly
once removed follow the directions in the link above

Mine was made in ’59….but IF your forend looks similar, then there is only one screw to remove in order to slide the forearm off the front of the barrels. If yours has the forward located screw, again... it is the only one needing removal.
Pictured from the Left Side, please note the slot in the head of the screw is shallow and delicate, DO NOT use a tapered screwdriver to remove it. The driver must fit the slot perfectly (preferably a hollow ground tip).
