Remember, the MG42's bark is worse than its bite! That high rate of fire means they have to change barrels really often! Um, we won't mention that the gun is set up to change barrel in seconds...:uhoh:

Hold that thought, I'm going to post a video made by the USA during world war two intended to bolster more confidence in American automatic weapons and less fear of the German automatic weapons.

Of course, the MG42 was the best automatic weapon during WWII and was a defining platform for all automatic weapons developed after it.
