This is the type of gun people were shooting each other with in the slums of New York City in the late 19th century :)

Sweet! I just wish this had made this into the recent "they just don't make 'em like they used to" thread.

Kinda cool to see all the evolution.

Cylinder index marks up front are weird to see.

Is that a .38?

It's .32 short rimfire. From what I have seen the .38 rimfire version of this was called the Bull Dog (perhaps the first handgun to be called that), and the .41 rimfire version was called the Swamp Angel. I would love to have a Swamp Angel.

I have a friend with a 38 rimfire just like that, AND one of the last boxes of 38 Rimfire ammo to go with it. Nifty old guns.

Neat-o. I went through a phase some years back with a strange interest in those little "suicide specials." The Terror sure is a good example of them.

'gradz. :)
