blank Ak-74 front trunnion

I'm looking to have a custom AK-74 built for my daughter who was born in 2009... I know I can't find a 2009 year stamped front trunnion and was wondering if anyone knows where i can find a blank one so I can have 2009 engraved? thanks, John

One option to consider would be to mill the date off a mil-surp trunnion and engrave a date you want.

You could easily find her a Saiga made in 2009, though I can't remember off the top of my head whether it's stated on there or not...

I already have a 2009 saiga... but wanted serial number to be daughter's name and b-day... I'm building a kit and didn't want just a random year on the fron trunnion.

Ok, I gotcha... then I agree that the easiest thing would be fill, engrave, and finish the one that's already in it, or mil-surp.

K-var appears to have some virgin trunions... I'd think it'd be a lot cheaper to mill/weld your kit's trunion and then engrave though.
